The Holly and the Ivy
Madrigal-like setting of this traditional text utilizing contemporary harmonies for SATB a capella. Each of the six stanzas is individually set. Stanza three features a fugue-like start, stanza four some uniquely dissonant and minor harmonies, and stanza five places the melody in the tenors for one stanza.
